Titanic - the Movie: A Love Story with Endless Romance

At this time, I’m about to tell you how Titanic, one of the most amazing romantic movies ever produced in the world, and that can be great to be collected by the DVDs or even just watching it on theatre (if there’s still available for movie playback in some regions) or satellite TV.
Why a tragedy of Titanic can be my choice of romantic movie, while in fact, it was a catastrophe? It’s just that in Titanic movie, there is a romance between a man, Leonardo DiCaprio and a lady, Kate Winslet, regardless its tragic ending.
Let’s see what I can tell you in the Titanic movie!
There is an unfold love story around two young lovers with their romance that captured as the tragedy of the doomed vessel, RMS Titanic. It was a great commercial and critical success, winning 11 Academy Awards and 3 Grammys that was released in 1997. It was the winner of Academy Awards’ best director, James Cameron, who wrote, directed, co-produced and co-edited this Titanic movie, and with earning $1.8 billion at the box office, Titanic movie became the highest grossest movie of all time until another James Cameron’s amazing movie, Avatar surpassed it in 2010.
Leonardo DiCaprio, who appears as Jack Dawson and the role of Rose DeWitt Bukater played by his co-star, Kate Winslet – this lady, Rose and Jack are the two young people from different social classes who falls in love each other. Do you know that many of the characters that portraying crew and passengers were based on those who were actually aboard the real vessel although the love story is fictitious.
For instance, there was lady who was famous for her heroic efforts – but not shown in the movie, of trying to save drowning passengers, she’s the brash Margaret “Molly” Brown, who played by Kathy Bates; she became known as the “Unsinkable Molly Brown” later. The emotional impact of the inevitable sinking on passengers and crew which added greatly over it as there were many scenes in the movie though only briefly touched on.
Isador, was a former NY Congressman and was a former owner of R.H. Macy and Company, and Ida Strauss were become the two historical characters in this Titanic movie. Ida, Isador’s wife, finally died sinking with her husband because she meant to honor her wedding vow and remain with Isidor while she once has a chance of leaving the ship in a lifeboat but then declines and returns to her husband. While also with the water rushing in, there was on a bed in their stateroom where they lie and that she is last seen embracing him. Crew members’ obvious heroism was even depicted by layers of emotion that added with other scenes, from the Chief Engineer, Joseph Bell and his men work desperately until the last moments. One information that you should know as well, there is the scene that true-fact-witnessed by the survived passengers that the orchestra which entertaining which continue to play – even as the ship sinks, uplifting music to the very end. When Rose saved by Jack from a suicide attempt brought about by her despondency at a loveless engagement that under forced or pressured of her family at the same time they initially come together. Conflict between Jack, Rose and her fiancée starts here, until fate determines their life in different way at the end by also the end of Titanic as well.
Afterwards, I’m sure that all of you have already known about the rest of the plot of this Titanic movie, so I won’t further tell the whole plot of it. One thing for sure, I, personally, consider this romantic has a very powerful emotional elements; showing the aftermath of the collision later with and those aboard who finding shelter on a lifeboat attempting desperately or the fate that they can accept bravely. In this catastrophe, more than 1500 passengers and crew perished because there were not enough lifeboats. At the time, their feelings and the dangers they face strongly reflected throughout the musical score. And a wonderful song “My Heart Will Go On” that won an Academy Award and two Grammies which Celine Dion sings it perfectly as the closing song or soundtrack of Titanic movie makes it as one of the greatest classic romantic movies that came from classic colossal true story, and really it is about how I personally feel: a deep compassion when the first and many times I’ve watched it – both myself all alone or collective watching.
Whether you purchase the DVD, VCD, VHS (is there any?) or even rent it and probably in your region a drive-in movie theatre, it will be so special when you’re watching it with your loved person sits right next to you and watching how great love can be – thus both of you can probably adopt its sense of love and romance for your own love life!
