Rumpelstiltskin coincidentally overhears the talk between Fiona and Shrek about that Shrek’s anger and his wish to be a real ogre, again. But Shrek doesn’t see to what Fiona tells him that he has everything, and to the party he returns.

Then Rumpelstiltskin offers Shrek a day when none of his adventures ever happened, to feel like a real ogre again by a day yet in exchange for a day from Shrek’s childhood, it is happened when Shrek encounters Rumpelstiltskin. The Sweetest Thing – the True Love’s First Kiss Does the Miracle

Later, Donkey tells that the true love (true love kiss) is what can be the escape clause of Rumpelstiltskin’s “evil” contract; this is which Donkey helps Shrek. Somehow, Fiona leads a secret community of ogres – this is what Shrek and Donkey discover after not finding Fiona in the tower. Fiona dismisses Shrek’s attempts to reconcile with her which also that she has never met him. Then Puss in Boots, a now Fiona’s pet that is fat and lazy, who retired from swordsmanship is found by Shrek. But their kiss is ineffective since Fiona does not love Shrek then in case of saving the other ogres at the time, Fiona leaves him.

Then with a sort of prize contest, Rumpelstiltskin announces that he will give anything to whom can bring Shrek to him. For the sake of the other ogres, Shrek then sacrifices himself in exchange with the other ogres so they can freely leave of Rumpelstiltskin prison later Shrek is imprisoned along with Fiona, Shrek then do for further sacrificing himself because she could not go free since Fiona is a princess by day.

As the day is almost over and Shrek with Fiona together escaping of Rumpelstiltskin, suddenly, Shrek disappears after kissed by Fiona. Fiona realizes that was true love’s kiss and she remains an ogre as the sun rises. Shrek is sent back in time to when he roared during his kid’s birthday as the contract is destroyed by the true love (true love kiss).

Finally, as Shrek remarks that Fiona saved him when they met, he embraces her, his family and friends then live happily ever after.
